As summer quickly turns to fall, your bargaining team is looking forward to beginning the bargaining process on your behalf. Our first set of dates with the employer is scheduled for September 19, 20, and 21.
Over the summer, your executive participated in facility outreach in each region to hear directly from members. We know you are feeling worn down and desperately in need of a fair wage increase.
We have been carefully monitoring bargaining trends and outcomes in other sectors, so we can be fully prepared to fight for fair wage increases and better working conditions.
One thing is clear: a strong, mobilized membership that is willing to stand together to demand better is the key to making real improvements at the bargaining table.
There is an important opportunity for us to show the employer and the Government of Saskatchewan that we are strong and united for better.
Together for Better T-shirts
The first order of T-shirts is arriving at our regional offices and will be distributed to facilities. If you ordered a T-shirt, you could also stop by your regional office to pick it up. Please wear your T-shirt on September 19, our first day of bargaining, to show your solidarity with your bargaining committee.
We will soon be placing another order for those who did not place a T-shirt order in July. The T-shirt order form will be live on the website on Thursday, September 7 (Check the Member Information Section).
In solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee:
Bashir Jalloh (President), Linda Renkas (Vice-President), Nancy Black (Recording Secretary), Rhonda Osipoff (Treasurer), Linda Vancuren (R1), Sharon Paul (R2), Janell Hubbard (R3), Adrienne Gardiner (R4), Corinne Sopel (R5), Lori Sutherland (staff), Debbie Mihial (staff), Justin Mercier (staff)
